Byron Reeves
Byron is an expert in media psychology and specializes in the science of fun. He’s a professor at Stanford University, Faculty Director of the Media X program there, and Seriosity Co-founder and Board Member. He's worked extensively with businesses over the last 20 years, including projects at Microsoft Research, IBM, HP, and other major corporations. He’s co-author of The Media Equation and is now finishing Games@Work, the first book about how games will change the nature of work.
Thomas Malone
Tom is a world-class expert on how technology disrupts business. He’s a professor in the Sloan School at MIT and is a Seriosity Board Member. Tom has worked with dozens of companies and is a featured speaker at Camp Seriosity. He’s the author of the acclaimed Future of Work, and is Founding Director of the new MIT Center for Collective Intelligence.

Simon’s consulting history started with McKinsey and Company where he helped financial services and technology companies. He’s a seasoned entrepreneur and executive (including CEO of successful enterprise software start-up Accrue Software) and currently serves as Seriosity CEO. Simon’s MBA is from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Leighton Read
Leighton first encountered game sensibilities while building software to engage his medical patients in automated interactions about diet and exercise. He was then working as physician and researcher at Harvard Medical School and School of Public Health. His software was one of the first attempts to blend the state of the art in artificial intelligence with a socially intelligent game-like interface. Leighton is the Co-founder and Executive Chairman of Seriosity, co-author (with Byron) of the forthcoming Games@Work, a seasoned CEO, a successful entrepreneur, and currently a General Partner at Alloy Ventures in Palo Alto, CA.
Edward Castronova
Ted (the nickname) is the premier academic currently writing about multiplayer games (Synthetic Worlds, Exodus to the Virtual World). He’s an economist by training who has produced the most-cited papers about games in the library, including work on synthetic economies. Ted has been an advisor at Seriosity since 2004, a featured Camp Seriosity speaker, and author of the rules of engagement for playing work games at Seriosity functions.
