Simon Roy is an experienced entrepreneur and executive with roles including CEO of successful enterprise start-up Accrue Software, a public company turnaround in South Africa, Ensign Clothing Ltd, and senior consultant with McKinsey and Company serving financial services and technology companies. As principal of Matthis Advisors LLC he supports technology companies with strategy, corporate development, and fundraising. Mr. Roy received his B.Bus.Sci. from the University of Cape Town and his MBA with distinction from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Jonathan Wilson, VP Engineering

Jonathan Wilson brings nearly two decades of experience in designing and developing enterprise software systems for major national and international companies. Jonathan previously worked at Thomson Corporation and Ceon. At Thomson Corporation, Jonathan held management positions in Research and Development. At Ceon, he was Engineering Manager and Director of Product Management where he successfully led technical teams in building large enterprise systems for Time Warner Cable, Charter Communications, RCN, British Telecom, and Portugal Telecom.

J. Leighton Read

J. Leighton Read, M.D. is a successful entrepreneur, inventor, and investor. He is a General Partner at Alloy Ventures and a founding director of a number of biotech companies, co-founded of Affymax and Aviron, and has won awards as co-inventor of technology underlying the Affymetrix GeneChip™. In 1984, he produced a successful IBM PC game for personal health (DOS 1.0).

Byron Reeves, Ph.D. is a Professor at Stanford University and Faculty Director of the Stanford Media X Partners Program. He is a leading expert on the psychology of interactive media, including complex multi-player games, and is co-author of The Media Equation. He has worked at Microsoft Research on consumer and enterprise software, and has helped design software products for several large companies including IBM, Hewlett-Packard, Philips, and Schwab.

John C. Beck is President of the North Star Leadership Group, a Senior Research Fellow and professor at USC’s Annenberg Center for the Digital Future, and a Senior Advisor at Monitor Group. John earned his B.A. in East Asian Studies and Sociology summa cum laude from Harvard University, where he also received his Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior. He is the author of award-winning books The Attention Economy and Got Game: How a new generation of gamers is reshaping business forever.

Edward Castronova

Edward Castronova, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of Telecommunications at Indiana University, Bloomington where he specializes in the study of synthetic worlds: massively multi-user spaces on the internet. He teaches several courses on the economic and social impact of video games while pursuing scholarly research on the same topic. His groundbreaking academic publication on virtual economies, Virtual Worlds has had over 27,000 downloads. He is also the author of Synthetic Worlds.
